The Tide is Turning on interest rates and home sales
Interest rates are rising, but home sales are too — at least for the moment.Home sales rose three-tenths of a percent in March to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 6.92 million units in March from a pace of 6.90 million in February, according to figures from the National Association of Realtors.

Talk to an attorney before suing about post-closing problems
Q. We purchased our home last year. The septic system was 5 years old. After moving in, we saw a leak in our yard, and part of the yard was spongy. A repairman told us the polystyrene supporting our lines is disintegrating, and the repair estimate is $6,000. He said he’d put in 17 systems with the same material and had to replace 15 of them. Can we sue the contractor if he won’t help us with the repair costs?

Hip injury forces couple out of multilevel home
