The Boulder Chamber of Commerce is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its Esprit Entrepreneur awards this week and next.
Some of the area’s biggest names in business will be honored at the awards dinner Wednesday night, including Frank Day, Bob Greenlee, Merc Mercure, and the founders of Celestial Seasonings and Storage Technology Corp.
Festivities began this week, according to Alice Swanson, the chamber’s executive vice president. The chamber organized several breakfast and lunch meetings at which small groups were able to speak with successful entrepreneurs in an intimate breakfast or lunch session. Most of those sessions sold out, Swanson said.
Next Wednesday morning, Oct. 20, the chamber is sponsoring a breakfast forum, featuring Greenlee, Mercure, Juan Rodriguez and Mo Siegel.
That event will be at 8 a.m. at the Boulder Theatre. It is free and open to the public. The awards banquet will be start at 6 p.m. with a cocktail reception at the Omni Interlocken Resort in Broomfield.
