LONGMONT — Madison Carr, a third-grader from Frederick Elementary School, stood in front of about 150 people with an oxygen tube in her nose and read from the article she submitted for the annual Rotary Compassion Awards: “I have a lung disease. I got sick when I was just a baby.”
